Notes |
Sid Morgan (my father) worked for Eley Brothers before joining the army in 1916.
Editor's Comment: Eley Brothers manufactured small arms (i.e. rifle and revolver) ammunition for the government in both world wars. Still in business today, making ammunition for hunting and target shooting. Driver 146147 S. Morgan, Royal Field Artillery, 23rd Division, served in No. 3 section, Divisional Ammunition Column, and later in V/23 Trench Mortar Battery. |
