Entitled here as 'Nursing Sisters' Graves at Lemnos'. Published in 'St. Monica's School Notes', 1915-1916. Versions also published in 'Oxford Magazine' on 11 May 1917, 'Verses of a V.A.D.' (1918), and in 'Poems of the War and After' (1934). Brittain was stationed on the hospital ship the HMHS Britannic, at Mudros Bay, Lemnos in 1916 when she saw the graves of three Canadian sisters who died nursing in the camp hospital there."
