A damaged photo of my grandfather and the digital repair.
He survived the war and died in 1942. I only know that he was at the Somme and may have been gassed but know no other information. Editor's Comment: Pte. Glew is wearing the belt from the Pattern 1888 (Slade Wallace) equipment, and has cloth shoulder titles indicating his unit, but unfortunately, these cannot be read. |
