Notes |
My husband and I visited the Louveral Military Cemetery and found the inscribed name of his great uncle Pte David Murie, of the Tank Corps. We would have been the first members of the family to have visited the site and to remember how he was killed. I found the history of the Battle at Cambrai on the web.
Editor's Comment: Pte. 200257 David Murie, 'B' Bn. Tank Corps, was killed 23rd November 1917 and is commemorated on the Cambrai memorial. He originally served in the Royal Field Artillery (service no. 1093). |
