Photograph of Sjt. Frank Brown in the uniform of the Tank Corps. Note part of the white Tankers badge on the right sleeve above the serjeants stripes, and bands of coloured cloth (barely visible) on his epaulettes, indicating the Tank battalion he served with.
Cpl. Frank Brown lied about his age to join the Norfolk Regiment. He transferred to the Tanks, training at Barnham nr. Thetford before going to France. He later became a Serjeant. |
