Letter from Buckingham Palace welcoming back a released prisoner a war. The letter, which is handwritten, and signed "George R.I.", was sent to Gnr J Cawkwell of the Royal Field Artillery (Cawkwell's details are in the top right-hand corner, and appear to be in a different hand from the rest of the letter). Part of a collection relating to John Cawkwell.
