A stone post bearing the carved inscription: "Sailly Saillisel British Cemetery" Green's name (with others) on the Thiepval Memorial A large book containing what appear to be records of the war dead. The person holding the book is indicating the record for Green. Part of a collection relating to Charles Green, who served as a machine gunner with the 7th Battalion of the East Yorkshire Regiment, and was killed on 8th February 1917, in the Somme area of France. |
