Foster, Charlie

Notes |
Photograph of Charlie Foster of the 4th East Yorks, sent from France to his friend Ralph William Readhead during World War I. Foster is sitting on a horse. A post-it note attached to the photograph gives a transcription of what was presumably the accompanying message: "Dear Ralph, The horse is known as Sacco but she belies the name. It is an amateur photo so look over the defects. The subject is also bad. Chas." Part of a collection relating to Ralph William Readhead of the 4th East Yorks.
