Notes |
Photograph of a corner of a boxing ring on the deck of the battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth. In the corner are two men in boxing gloves. Both sport unusual headdresses, and one seems to be wearing a corset over a striped jersey. A crowd of sailors are watching from outside the ring. Part of a collection relating to Frank Harold Elletson, Royal Marine Artillery. Date uncertain, but the collection is described as including: "Diary [photo scrapbook] of HMS Queen Elizabeth, January to May 1915, plus photographs c. 1918".
