This was Pte Leonard Green's ID card in his P o W camp. Just where it was I do not know, and he certainly never wanted to find out.
Editor's Comment: 'Erkennungskarte No. 68566'. Pte. 316448 Leonard E. Green, 1/5th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers, was reported Missing in Action on 23rd March 1918 and officially declared dead, twice, before his status as a Prisoner of War was confirmed. |
