Editor's Comment: Rifleman Bendell cannot be traced. From the effects of Lieutenant Wharton Rye Collinge, 2nd/6th (Rifle) Bn. The King's (Liverpool Regiment), who died of gas poisoning 7th August 1917 and is buried in Merville Communal Cemetery. |
