Born in 12 Gayfield Square, Edinburgh, youngest of three brothers who all went to war and all survived. Date of birth 12-6-1885. He served in an English Regiment. His niece wrote about him, " George was quite a character - a natural comic. He was tall and stoutish." He worked in Coffee Law's, a tea merchant in Princes Street, Edinburgh. He died in 1946 of cancer. He got radiotherapy. This must have been the early days of treatment.
