Albert Rawson was one of 8 children, my grandfather, Frank, being his brother. He was born in 1874 at Hebdon Bridge, Todmorden, Yorkshire. The family eventually moved to Blackpool, Lancashire.
Stationed at supply depot in France as a Private during 1914-18 war. The attached Blackpool Herald letter is from my grandmother's scrapbook. Editor's Comment: Pte. 22492 Albert Rawson, Army Service Corps, later served with the Labour Corps (Regt. No. 300641). |
