Notes |
An unfinished letter, wrongly dated 1917, describing Albert's worsening condition to his wife. His son, Gordon, my father, told me that Beatrice went to France to see him and help nurse him.
Editor's Comment: His name is erroneously spelt 'Bromwick' on his medal card, held by the National Archives. Private 356170 Albert J. Bromwich, 2nd Battalion Highland Light Infantry, died of wounds 10th April 1918. The son of Oliver and Sarah Bromwich, of Two Mile Hill, Kingswood, Bristol, and husband of Beatrice Bromwich, of 533, Bath Rd., Brislington, Bristol, he is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery. |
