The musical score for "Patriotic Hymn: The Oak and the Union Jack" written by H.P. Stephens and composed by F. Pascal. Printed London: Geo. Barber.
Henry Pottinger Stephens is the great grandfather of John Jenkinson, the depositer. Christabel Elinor Isabel Stephens was John Jenkinson's grandmother (married Stanley Noel Jenkinson in 1913). The family know that John's grandmother and her sister were on the stage (and possibly their father too). H. P. Stephens also wrote the lyrics for burlesques and comic operas in the 19th Century. |
