Newspaper report [Western Mail 13th July 1987 by Peter Jones, photographs by Andrew Davies] on the ceremony to dedicate The Mametz Wood Memorial to The 38th (Welsh) Division, on 11th July 1987. The Welsh Dragon Memorial commemorates the attacks on Mametz wood by the Welsh battalions in the period 7th to 12th July 1916, (during the Battle of the Somme).
