Private 28761 John Charles Laybourne, 'C' Coy. 19th (Service) Bn. Royal Welsh Fusiliers, having been discharged as medically unfit for further service, 14th April 1916, joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 (there is a discrepancy in the dates given by his paperwork, which suggest 1918) as an Aircraftsman Second Class (service no. 185738), and later served abroad with the Royal Air Force. |
