hew was born in India on 21st Sept. 1892. After fighting in the Great War he went on to become an Engineer.
Letter 1. Personal items sent home for safe keeping and how good he now is at sowing and mending his clothes. Letter 2. Details trench attacks and food his mother sent him. he writes of the strain of serving on the front line and his duties. Letter 3. He details the atrocities of warand its casualties. He also talks of his family and sends them his best wishes. he also writes of sending a parcel of eggs home. |
