Part of a trench map for the area east of the Armentieres where William Binning was serving from February to April 1916. The red circle round the station (the British Front Line) in Le Touquet which is mentioned in the account of his wounding, and also where William's dugout was. Also on the map is the farm at Grand Rabeque which is frequently referred to in his diary - usually as GR and also the small village of Le Bizet where the Battalion headquarters were based. The German front line is in thick dark lines in the top right hand corner of the map.
