Graves, Robert (1895-1985)

Notes |
Although this poem is dated 27th September 1915, Graves later stated that he wrote "It's a Queer Time" whilst he was at his regimental depot in Wrexham, some weeks before he had left for France. Indeed the date on the manuscript of 27th September 1915 is suspect as Graves was engaged in the Battle of Loos from the 25th September until the 3rd October.
