Herbert Edward Freestone, centre, was born 29th February 1880 at Hadfield, Derbyshire. He was a private soldier in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers.
Herbert Freestone was invalided out before the end of the war and lived until 1956. Editor's Comment: Privates of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, equipped with the Pattern 1914 Infantry Equipment, and armed with Charger Loading Lee Enfield rifles, with fixed Bayonets. |
