Green, Leonard E.

Notes |
This letter to the parents of Pte Leonard Green, previously reported "Missing in Action", acknowledges receipt of a letter from the soldier's mother which notes that "he is a Prisoner of War" and "records will be amended".
So, the good news, but then there is bad, as the next attachment will show. Editor's Comment: Pte. 316448 Leonard E. Green, 1/5th Bn. Northumberland Fusiliers, was reported Missing in Action on 23rd March 1918 and officially declared dead, twice, before his status as a Prisoner of War was confirmed. |
