Notes |
My interest in the First World War originated from chatting to my two grandfathers who had both served in the army, and survived into their 80s or 90s. However my early reading about the war centred around old copies of Punch magazine, especially the cartoons. Although this was not a childhood favourite it is one that made me laugh when (for this archive) I was looking for the cartoons I really remembered.
