Notes |
This recording was made in 1969 with my father, John 'Jack' Bovey recalling his experience in the trenches. My father was a private in the 25th Field Ambulance Division, Wessex Division (no. 487496).
The audio extracts cover Jack's visit to Tyne Cot years later, spending the night behind German Lines in a 'comfy' dugout (by mistake), his memories of Passhendale and being taken as a Prisoner of War (POW) and his subsequent release. A transcript of the interview has been submitted separately. |
