It was common to have an 'Autograph Book', not used as they are today, but family / friends would add paintings etc.
Editor's Comment: Red cloth cover with flowers: 'Autographs'; embossed in gold: 'Willie'. Contains: Watercolour painting of field, initialled J.T. 1915 Cartoon of spinster surveying news stand: 'Latest War News- | Daily Pail Latest War News | Kitchener Gets Half a Million Men in a Month | Official', with caption underneath: 'Lar! And Here I've tried for Thirty Years and Can't Get One!'. Signed G. C. Evans, 18/5/15. Song: 'Longue est la route de Tipperary' [It's a Long way to Tipperary]. Signed A. Seymour, Le 4. Octobre 1915.
