Notes |
Manuscript of poem in ink in Siegfried Sassoon's hand. Signed by Sassoon. The poem was published in 'The Old Huntsman' (1917). Note on a postcard included with the poem in Prof Edward Dent's hand dated 8th September 1940, asking if the Fitzwilliam Museum is still collecting 'autographs of Cambridge poets'. Dent also notes that he believes this copy of 'Died of Wounds' to be the first, 'although it is undated'.
